PYX COMMUNION WAFER BOX by SWIFT & FISHER

Image
Got this item here, it is sterling. Not sure what it is , is it for snuff or holy water?  it is about 1 1/2 iches tall and 1 3/4 inches diameter. Also  the engraved markings on top have any meaning? You have yourself a Pyx or Communion Wafer Box. This was used to hold communion wafers and could be taken by a priest to give communion to the sick, on home visits or whatever. It was made by Swift & Fisher (c1912-Present) out of N. Attleboro, MA who are known for making ecclesiastical items. It certainly has some age to it and probably dates to pre-WWII. It probably could bring into the low hundreds.

LIMOGES SITES OF PARIS COMMEMORATIVE PLATES BY LOUIS DALI

We have seven similar plates and were seeking information regarding their value. Appreciate your assistance. You have 8 plates in a set of 12 that were issued in 1983 by The Bradford Exchange. They were designed by Louis Dali and commissioned by The Paris Historical Society. Although manufactured in France, these plates are similar to most collector's plates in that they are not worth much money. A set of 12 of these top out at around $125. Individual plates bring anywhere from $2-20 each and everywhere in between.
