  Hi , have you seen this mark before?  Thx for your time. This plate was made by the Tepco China Co (Technical Porcelain and China Ware Co.) They were located in El Cerrito,CA and in operation from 1918-1968. This teepee mark was used on Restaurant Wares in the 1950's and 1960's. The P on the back stands for Pyramid Alloy Manufacturing Co. or PAMCO an alternate name they used for marketing purposes. I can't tell you the pattern name, but, they did have a similar pattern called Confucius. I have provided a cleaner photo of the mark. 

Hi! I just found your post about idetifying pottery. Here are two pictures of my 8" vase. I would be very grateful for identification You have an Art Deco style vase made by Robinson Ransbottom Pottery out of Roseville, OH. It was introduced in 1939. 

  What a concept. Give a baseball card a grade from 1-10. Encapsulate the card, protecting it from harm. Then, when selling the card to someone across the country, they will have confidence that the card is of a certifiable condition. Right? Well.....maybe...and many times not. Below, I give you two examples of the same card, a 1971 Topps High Number, Lee Maye. Now, this card is a little tougher to find in great condition than some of the other high numbers. Both cards are graded NM-MT 8. Yet, in my humble opionion, there is an entire grade that separates the two. The top one appears to have  a fair amount of "chipping" along the black border for a card that is an 8. It has a definate "touch" to the upper right corner and it's other corners are not black. More disturbing, there is a printer's line or two or scratches that show through his hat into his face on the left side of his head. These are visually distracting to the card. I will even give the benefit ...

I grabbed this vase at a yard sale for $1, it matches our McCoys very well, just slightly darker on the teal color, plus it ONLY has the USA marker, which I know many companies did during WWI, any help with identification would be helpful! This was made by Shawnee Pottery in the 1940's-1950's. 

Hello, I have an award ribbon from Madison Square Garden from 1909-1910, 21st Annual Exhibition.  I do not know what the competition is from.  I tried to do some online research but could not find anything.  It might be from a farming, cattle, livestock competition, or maybe a Boy Scouts thing but I have no idea. Your ribbon is from the 21st annual exhibition of the New York Poultry, Pigeon and Pet Stock Association. 

Hello! I stumbled across your website while trying to find information on these two pieces that I found today. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated thank you so much! Your little planters were introduced in 1948 by Brush Pottery. Some people, incorrectly, identify them as Brush-McCoy. Brush-McCoy Pottery existed from 1911-1925. Brush Pottery produced many pieces that were similar to McCoy Pottery and because of their past partnership, people tend to group Brush wares with McCoy. 

Villeroy and Boch released the fish pattern called Viking around the early 1970's. Hi, I saw your site online and was wondering if you could ID this piece. It's a planter with a matte finish. I couldn't find anything to identify he maker...... Your Jardiniere was made by McCoy Pottery The NM on the bottom stands for Nelson McCoy. It is in the Basketweave Pattern. This mark was used in the late 1930's-1940's. 

This is a Premium Baseball Photo on Thick Card Stock. It measures 6" x 6 1/2".  ANY info on this would be appreciated. This is a 1935 Wheaties Card of catcher William Delancey that would have been cut from a box of Wheaties Cereal.   12 "pictures" were offered in 1934 and 12 more were added in 1935. This is a July 5, 1909 Collinsville Amateur Baseball Club Pinback Pin made by Whitehead & Hoag. 1 1/4" diameter  We have been unable to place the team.  You're pin/button is almost certainly that of the Collinsville, CT semi-pro baseball club. The town team played such teams as the Cuban Giants (NY), Pittsfield (MA), Tarrington Y.M.C.A., Forestville, Waterbury Jeffersons, Coe Brass of Tarrington, and for this double header held on 7/5 the Hartford Royals (Typewriter Co).  The team had new grounds built for the 1909 season and it was a big event for the July 5th game. The game was not held on July 4th as that fell on a Sunday and there often were laws held on games being played on Sunday. So, a double header was held (10am, 4pm) on Monday. Simond's Military Band were part of the celebration.  The 1909 Collinsville Ball Club was managed by Louis E Thayer. Some of the players who definitely saw action were Rainault (C/P), Olds (P), Lambert (2B, C), O'Leary...

This 7/8” button portrays a young boy in overalls and large hat. We don’t know the meaning of the word “Gamossi.” Reverse has early back paper by Whitehead and Hoag c. 1900. Text reads “This No. May Draw A Prize/No. 1550.” The number “1550” has been crossed out and inked above is a different number which appears to read “120.” Hake book "Collectible Pin-Back Buttons" photo example Children’s Clubs section #100. Only one we’ve seen.  I have provided photos of another extant button. This button was offered by the Gamossi Glove Company out of Minneapolis, MN. Gamossi sold kid's gloves and umbrellas. Below are advertisements from Gamossi from 1905-1906 that give details as to the origin of this button, the kid club and how you could win a pair of gloves from the prize number on the back. 

I have an art pottery vase in white or ivory. It is marked 219-9" and USA on the bottom. While the 219-9" is similar to Roseville markings and the quality is also similar, don't know that it is. Any info would be appreciated. Your vase was actually made by Hull Pottery.

I searched through literally thousands of Roseville pottery pictures and have not found one in this mold pattern - so if anyone knows anything about it - I would love to know. This is part of Roseville's "Solid Colors" line. 

Today I picked up a set of Hazel-Atlas Windmill Salt and Pepper Shakers. These are very common and worth around $12. However, the reason I picked them up was because they are 2-sided. The reverse side has advertising for The Croghan Colonial Bank in Fremont, OH. with an image of Colonel Croghan.     Gene and Cathy Florence's 2004 book "Florences' Glass Kitchen Shakers 1930-1950's Identification and Value Guide" has the Croghan one-sided variation listed on page 139. What is notable, is that it is listed in the Unidentified section. Well, seeing the the 2-sided version I picked up has the unquestionable Hazel-Atlas Windmills on the other side, it can be verified that the Croghan versions are Hazel-Atlas. 

These beautiful Greyhound racing glasses were offered by The Velvet Peanut Butter Co out of Detroit, MI in the early 1950's. Advertisements can be found in 1953-1954 offering 8 numbered glasses with a single Greyhound on one side and two Greyhounds on the other. These glasses have been described as being issued by Boscul Peanut Butter which were known for their floral glasses. 

This horse boot scraper can be found on the internet with conflicting identifications. Some say it's from the 19th c....some say it was manufactured by Hubley. There is one example that is marked "Hart" inside a heart on the bottom of the base.  The horse does indeed to appear to be the Hubley Show Horse Doorstop. Other examples are also clones of Hubley doorstops...a    nother horse, the Boxer, Mammy, Setter and Cocker Spaniel. All of these examples are marked 5700 or 5800 on the bottom of the base, just like the B.B. Butt examples. Here is an example of the Mammy I have some information that gets closer to the real story as to the origin of these boot scrapers.  The patent for the base was obtained in 1938 by Savannah Barrett Butt. She ran a little business out of her basement in Baltimore, Maryland and had a couple employees. There are multiple examples of twin figural scrapers that are marked "BB" on the top corner of the base and ...

Do you know this pattern? I know it's Weller. This is the Roma pattern. It's a 5 1/2" Comport. 

Hello, I am trying to sell an old Real Photo Postcard of a Baseball Team. I was told that it was a professional team. Can you help identify it? Your photo appears to be that of the 1920 General Office Baseball Club which was in the Duquesne Steel League. I found a box score that contained 7 of the 9 players in your RPPC. The jerseys have the letters GO on them which correspond with General Office. Industrial leagues were very popular in the years prior to WWII. They were not part of organized professional baseball, but, some serious companies were known to hire good ball players so that they could play for the company team. 

I have a platter with a Bavaria mark I cannot identify. It has an RW in a shield. Please help if you can. This is Retsch & Co. out of Wunsiedel Bavaria.
