STANDARD COMPUTING SCALE COMPANY - SCALE

I was wondering if you could give me an appraisal on an antique scale

You have a nice scale made by The Standard Computing Scale Co. out of Detroit, MI. The company was formed in 1889 and existed into at least the 1940's. Your scale is nice, but, common. At live auction it could be expected to receive around $75. On E-Bay or a retail outlet, it can get more. The marquee on the top can bring $30-50 by itself. Scales are tricky for resale. Sometimes they can sell immediately in a retail situation and sometimes it can takes months. They almost always are overpriced.
